Sherwood Sport and Recreation Complex Master Plan

The City of Charlottetown is seeking public input on the development of a new Sherwood Sport and Recreation Complex Master Plan.

The City has retained DSRA Architecture to undertake a review and assessment of the Sherwood Area Sport and Recreation facilities. This includes determining the remaining life of the Cody Banks Arena and planning for the future of the Sherwood Recreation Hall.

The goal of the plan is to determine the best fit for current and future needs of the community, while understanding the remaining capacity of the current infrastructure on-site. This includes exploring options for redesigning the space to become a comprehensive sports and recreational complex.

The City and DSRA Architecture accepted initial feedback on the current infrastructure through an online survey. The results of this survey were presented on December 4th, 2025 to gather feedback on redesigning the area at the Sherwood Recreation Hall during the first in-person public consultation session.

Thank you for your interest in the future of the Sherwood Area Sport and Recreation facilities!
