The new Strategic Plan will help define how the City will embrace opportunities, confront challenges and leverage its assets in order to grow and flourish. Specifically, the plan will establish a common vision and define the shared goals and priorities of the corporation and the community.

Community engagement is at the core of this work and will include an online survey, staff and stakeholder workshops, a community open house and more. The feedback and insights gathered through the engagement activities will be used to inform the new plan.

As Charlottetown continues to plan for the future, two major plans – Strategic Plan and Official Plan – have been initiated to help define how the City will grow and develop. The Strategic Plan is now underway and the Official Plan will begin later this year. Together, these plans will set the strategic direction for the corporation and the community and define how the City can continue to grow in a dynamic and sustainable way.

The Strategic Plan will help bring forward and define our collective priorities into a road map for the future.
