The comprehensive review and update of the Zoning and Development Bylaw will include identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for modernization and regulatory alignment with the City’s Official Plan, Heritage Preservation Bylaw and provincial regulations.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Reviewing and updating the existing zoning designations and land use regulations.
Updating subdivision requirements and processes.
Reviewing opportunities to incorporate best practices for sustainable development and environmental protection.
Improving consistency and clarity in the bylaws' language and structure.
Reviewing opportunities to enhance public engagement and consultation processes.
