Zoning and Development Bylaw Review

Update
Following the first round of public engagement on the Zoning and Development Bylaw Review, Fathom Studios and Trace Planning and Design worked to create the What We Heard Report. Please find that report in our Important Links section. Staff are now working in partnership with the consultants to prepare the first draft of the Zoning and Development Bylaw, which will be released in the Fall 2025, in preparation for the second round of public engagement.

More information will be shared once that draft is finalized for public review.

  2. Updating subdivision requirements and processes.
  3. Reviewing opportunities to incorporate best practices for sustainable development and environmental protection.
  4. Improving consistency and clarity in the bylaws' language and structure.
  5. Reviewing opportunities to enhance public engagement and consultation processes.
